Conflict Vietnam (PAL original) loads & stores to my Maxtor 120gb HDD succesfully but when I go to play from HDD I get the error message 'Disk may be dirty or damaged'. Before anybody asks, yes the disk boots perfectly.
Alas I've also tried storing a working back-up of the game with exactly the same result.
Has anybody else encountered this problem?

Hmmm, well why not try doing it the old fashioned way (at least this once) and FTP it to your PC then back to your Xbox? Maybe some files were not being copied your usual way.

I was thinking that actually Tyler but I'm also keen to know if this is just an isolated case or whether Mr Gates has come up with another method of protecting his software (not very secure if it is cos you can still create the back-up).

erm, this game requires an hdd game fix. It has something to do with games regions and detection, or something like that. Unfortunately, nobody seems to give it out.
There is another method that might fix it with evox. Go into the evox settings, and set Region to Ato-detect. Reset the xbox and then try to launch the game from evox. It might work.

Thanx Quall, I'll do that & report back l8r.
I just bought this game today and backed it up to my hard drive with dvd2xbox v.5.8 and it works fine. I'm running evox v.3935. Maybe try backing up to hdd with dvd2xbox and see if that helps.
