Hey all,

Well im off to bed in a minute cus im knackered so I will post my wish list 2moro or later tonight.

Anyways, which socket motherboard do you think I should get? I want a 64-bit computer, and the motherboard company im going with is Gigabyte.

Should I get:
- Socket 939
- Socket 754

and why...

Also, Which individual board should I get. Im going to be spending a maxium of about £500 on this new computer system (for college). As I have not updated my comp for about 2-4yrs :| as I have been busy saving for other things etc, I need to start building the system now, cus i've just finished my first week.

I have a 1.7Ghz computer to sell to (one im on now) and a shed load of parts. So once I get enough cash I will buy my new case, which hopefully will be the Lanfire (black). Then motherboard etc, best thing is, I can leave the hdd for a while as christmas is coming up, so i will use the current one, as just add a bit extra ontop of the computer price, so I can get them say a 40gb or something and keep my current 80gb.

Anything else I sud do or get? Sorry if none of this makes sense, I've just woken up again, and now im going bk to bed :D

cheers

Just thought i would share this (http://www.directron.com/sk8v.html) before you decide to go with the Gigabyte mobo. Once you see the features this mobo has you may change your mind. It is definitely a thought to consider. Also you can check out www.pricewatch.com for some good deals. I would also recommend the aaronix site for a case if you want some good ideas on cases. Zipzoomfly is a good site as well. Hopefully some of these thoughts can widen your options. ;)
