Splinter Cell Region Change?

I live in the UK and I bought Splinter Cell from ebay. Today i realised that i must have a USA version. it works fine of course, but i recently got the Splinter Cell bonus CD with the 1.3 patch and the 3 extra levels that were at first only available for the Xbox version through Xbox Live!

And of course it wont install... complains that its for the Europe/Middle East/Asia version only... which means i must have the USA version.

Is there any way i can get this to install? somehow trick it into thinking i have the UK version? perhaps its just 1 file that needs changing, that holds the region data. maybe theres a crack for it, or a registry entry that can be changed ... or something. Or do i have to buy a UK version?

If anyone knows, or has any suggestions, please let me know

You will need an original uncracked UK Region exe, I guess.

1: Install Splinter Cell
2: Copy across the uncracked UK exe.
3: Install the mission pack.

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

no wonder there was an original .exe kicking around on a website i found when searching for the splinter cell bonus cd
