Does anyone know if the following exists:

An external casing for up to 4 (or more) ide (pata) drives with a single USB2 connector on the back

I do not mean the RAID casings for IDE drives with connects thru a SCSI connector

You have a question so you create a new forum for yourself, typical admin

Have a look at http://www.wiebetech.com/products/Baydock800.html
Think that is what you are looking for perhaps.
Doesn't come cheap at $899.95 for the 'quad'

I feel like a god ;)

A bit expensive for this quad case but this is very similar to what I am searching. Now only a bit cheaper ;)

btw it does not need to have swappable bays

hmm. Why not get a pc with specs of 1.5Ghz and under, maybe more if you want.

No moniter, just use it to have the hard drives in, and use a network to access it.
