Please help me out!

Hi, im pretty new at this dc-burning things. I am having SO huge problems! You see, i have found a great hotline server to download the games from, but do they work? No!.. First of all, i downloaded snow surfers. I tried to unzip the files, but winzip said that it was a invalid file to inflate. So in panic, i tried doing it with pkunzip (dosprogram you know) and it worked! Yes, now all i have to do is burn (i thought). But oh, was i wrong. I read in a "How to burn dc games" document that I had to use ISOBuster and get all the files out of the BIN, so i did that. But once again, another fiel error... So i gave up on that game and downloaded Crazy Taxi! And it was the same zip file problem as before. But with pkunzip it worked. So i had all the files (a lots of bin and shit). I didnt care about extracting all those bin files, becouse i understood that they where supposed to be like they were. I burned the cd with nero. THen I booted my DC with Utopia disc, then I put the Crazy Taxi cd in. And YES! a crazy taxi cd was spinning !. I came into the menus and everything to! But when i was going to start the game, the screen got black and nothing happened. I have tried 3 more games after that (that makes it 5 games (and a lots of cds)).. I did make that stupid dummy file and everything was right!.. But Oh No! It Just Wont Work! ARGH!... So i guess what im wondering is.. What should i do. Is it necceserry to have a dummy file? What should i think about when doing it? Is the zip files supposed to be like that? Do i have to extract the bigass BIN file..?... What more shall i think about?.. PLease, Please help me....

Ok, lets see. You do not need to make a dummy file. That is only if you want your backups to load faster which most of them load fine so you really don't have to worry about that. Unless your really picky about load times. Now, you do not extract your files with winzip or pkunzip. You use winrar. To use winrar you click on the first file in the group, so lets say you have crazy taxi for instance. It is 4 files so you would click on kal-taxi.001 (the first file) It should then load up winrar (if it is on your computer) and then extract the group. If not then you will have to open winrar first and then select the file. Some games you will get a .cdi file (disk juggler format) others you will get .cue (CDRwin format) depending on which one is what program you use to burn. That answers your questions I think. I don't want to put a whole burning guide on here cause there are already a shit load of them from BigPapa and Igottashit666. I even wrote one for the "tricky self boots" so check those out for the rest of the info.
