Haven't you been reading the Forum?

A DVD rip is a process for taking files off the DVD, processing them into suitable format for CD-R and burning them back to a CD-R, preferably within 650MB.

A DVD burner is for copying a DVD directly.

The only dumb thing you've done is not to search the Forum. I posted this reply to a similar question only yesterday - burning instructions are on the referenced site.

The below instructions are from htto://www.ps2ownz.com
To create your working DVD-R back-ups, you may wish to use PrimoDVD software which is made by Prassi. In addition, a Pioneer DVR-A03 or comparable DVD burner is recommended! For step-by-step PS2 DVD-R burning instructions click HERE.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW TO "DOUBLE SWAP" AN ORIGINAL PS2 DVD WITH YOUR DVD-R BACK-UP:

Procedure: This method requires you to use an original PS2 ORIGINAL DVD and also AR2 v1.7 CD:
1) Turn on the ps2 with GS2 v1.9 / AR2 v1.7 (holding down the ON/RESET).

2) Select Start Game (Still Holding ON/Reset).

3) Press EJECT (while still holding the ON/RESET button) and swap GS2 v1.9 / AR2 v1.7 with PS2 ORIGINAL DVD.

4) Press EJECT to close (Wait 10 seconds).

5) Then select WITHOUT CODES. Wait until disc stops.

6) Now let go of reset and the tray comes out, swap PS2 ORIGINAL DVD for a back-up DVD-R and press X just as the tray starts to go back in (IMPORTANT)!

NOTE: An 8-wire mod-chip is REQUIRED to do this (using it's "tray opener" function described above) and also please be aware that the DVD ORIGINAL DVD MUST have a bigger TOC than your back-up DVD-R!
