ok got the smartxx chip today i installed(easy) then flashed the Evolutionx M8 Bios to bank 1.(easy)
do i config the ip in the evox dash or do i do the smartxx screen for ip config?
i'm on running a router should this be static?
also have about 3 switches running through my home for other pcs and what not does this matter?
any info helps because i'm using flashfxp and get 0 connection
am i missing any other program?

first of all why u using the evox bios it sucks
get hold of x2 bios xbins cough.
also make sure your pc settings are the same as the xbox setting by configerating the ip address.

this works on the v1.6 i was at the understanding that only Evolutionx M8 Bios would work with my version?
thanks alot for the tip i went to the smartxx site and they were no help at all!

Yeah I think Seaney's been out of the loop for a little while. Only M8 bios works on a v1.6 xbox.

when i start up my xbox the smartxx menu is up i flashed the m8 bios to bank 2 then boot from there but there is no diff in that dash than the xbox orig only diffrence is it says evoX at the corner.
really stinks because i can't get any ftp connection.

Ok now that you have the Evox M8 bios on your chip, you need to make an evox dashboard disc. When you boot that, youll be able to use it to log onto your FTP.

ok is there any certain build i need of the dash?
i have a folder that i added a evox.ini,evox.xbe,skins folder.
but in the .ini it's trying to look for some old bios that does'nt work looks like this

Im using the latest build, 3935 I think. Just be sure to edit your evox ini to for your IP needs. If you have a static make sure you change it to static and so on.
