View Full Version : I bought a Pioneer 107, but tempted to exchange it to a NEC2510A
I can replace it within 4 days.
I thought Pioneer 107 was a good burner but I found some annoying flaws with it. Now everybody are talking about the NEC2510A.
Do I'll do the right thing to swap my Pionner to the NEC2510A?
The Pioneer is a great drive. What issues are you having?

Well, not a big Issue, it just when I do datas storage on DVD-R, event with great quality CD, the media doesn't play very well on the other DVD drives other than the Pioneer.
Maybe stupid but I also have in mind the fact that NEC drive is cheaper and now support DL and have a bit more features than the 107 I though I could grab the opportunity to swap it for a better drive and save money.
You need to update the firmware. This should fix any issues you might have.

Already did that. No much improvements.
Not sure what the prob is, but if you aren't happy take it back.
