need help with GT4 prologue (PAL)...

any one sucessfully converted the PAL to NTSC for gran turismo 4 prologue? i only got the first screen to work then it flickers like crazy after that on the rest of the game. i used many programs that convert pal to ntsc without any luck. please help me out... tell me how to do it... coz i wasted 4 dvd-rs already =( . provide links too. =) . thanks in advance.

Well sorry to say it cant be done. Gran Turismo games use a different kind of file than the norm. So making them from one Pal to Ntsc or vice versa isnt possible.

One of the ports on your TV will probably support the PAL signal. All newish PAL TV's will support an NTSC signal, so I would have thought NTSC TV's would do the same with PAL - unless you've got a REALLY old TV set, that is...

God damn, why can't we just ALL use the same A/V standard (or would that be too easy) :confused:

DMS3 chip takes care off it maybe.

what version is your chip? v1.8, 2.0 or 2.2?

if its either v2.0 or 2.2, just press and hold the shoulder buttons (L1+R1+R2+L2) while your ps2 boot to enter the dms3 setting and change the ps2 video fix to yes..this will change the video signal of the chip and the tv to pal (or ntsc if its set to no) and will load the game in full color, no screen flickering except the screen will not be centered but i hope this will be fixed in future versions..also if it doesnt work for ya..u can download a pal 2 ntsc patcher to patch the image from pal 2 ntsc, wich change the resolution, the color also it center the screen..this 2 method worked for me.

I used the new cdloader(V7 Beta 5.2) and it runs the game in ntsc mode with no problem, in cdloader menu, only set the "pal mode" to full screen and don't change other options,
after game loads, goto game option and correct screen position. :)
