1)Are they an ok type of media...

2)Is it bad for my sony?

They work, but they are still not as reflective as your regular Ritek DVD-R. I would recommend using them only to test before you actually make a DVD-R backup.

ive noticed the g04 is a hell lot louder than the go3 or verbatim dvdrs.
