View Full Version : New to this mod world and has a few questions
I just got my slide card (I've read a lot of messages saying how they suck and all...but it's the easiest way I know). I decided to try playing sosme backed up games. My friend lent me Cabela's Deer Hunt 2004 and it works fine. However when I tried it with Romance of Three Kingdom IX and Soul Calibur 2, they both won't work. I used Nero's "Copy" feature to make these disk. The PS2 recognizes the discs, but they freeze up. I was wondering if I should be using another program to "BACK UP" these games. Also, I my friend also told me that the PS2 doesn't like reading disc burned on 4X speed. Is that true? Would that effect the games I "BACKED UP"?
I have a Pioneer A07 on external case and my computer is a Dell Inspiron 8500 with a DVD/CD-RW drive.
Please help me out! I don't have that much money to spend on DVD-Rs.

Your friend dont know sqwat. 4x burns are ok. Heck even 8x burns are ok.
Tyler!
i take it ur useing swap magic with the slide card ? if so u will need to use the cd swap disk for Romance of Three Kingdom IX cause its a cd game and soul cailbur 2 needs a cd loader to boot that which would prob be alot of trouble with useing the slide card but u can vist www.swapmagicfix.com to get the loader and ever thing u need to know on what games work and dont ;)

I always burn at 1x but once I made two copys of the hulk (it was farely strached) one a accedentley set to 4x and one at 1x
the 4x played as good as the originall but the 1x played perfectley
so im thinking the slower the better after all you onley have to make the copy once and it wont take longer than an hour anyway
but you are going to need that stuff EVOEvo was talking about if your useing the swap magic I sugjest you always try and boot the originall with swap magic and if it dont work look at that site
Thx for the help guys. And EVOEvo, I followed the instructions for Soul Calibur 2 and it still doesn't work. Know any other sites that might help? Thanks a lot...perhaps I should just go buy burned games.
