How long to you play backutp on your Dreamcast

I'm suppose to buy a new Dreamcast for this Holiday. But I rent one and burned the motor by playing some burned game. So I would like to know how long do you guys have played whit your one whit backup to know how long a motor is suppose to last.

been playing copied games since late june, early july 2000 with no problems.
