Yes, it is okay, to ask about pal and ntsc but if you're in question read the rules in the Ultimate Sticky Info.

yea i downloaded some software called NTSC2PAL and like the game aint central in the screen.
I know exactly what you mean but sometimes it's down to the tv as well. I tend to move the ps2 between two different tv sets and the more expensive set likes putting a black border on the left hand side :S
Strange.

:)
thinking about getting a pal and ntsc compatiable tele that would be sweet. Seen one in argos quite cheep
You'l find that most TV's will accept a true NTSC signal through an RGB scart lead.
A properly compatible NTSC tv will accept the signal through the standard composite leads (which usually give out black and white)

concidiring i got a 14 inc televison its not that good and it dont play my ntsc games in colour :( and dont support 60 htz
Man get it out of there :p
Sell it on ebay (People will buy anything) and get yourself a new set.
www.empire-direct.co.uk always have damn good deals on TV's in the UK. I've used them a couple of times be4 and been impressed with the service.
Hope this helps,

Sean, Sean, Sean......just do the PAL color fix like I already told you about on the other thread!
Only one wire about and inch long. Very easy to do, or have pj do it for you, he couldnt charge much for that.

Actually if it is a PAL station being used to play NTSC games then it does not even require a wire - a simple shorting of two pins will do the trick takes all of 3 seconds (after you have opened the station that is!)
See - my sig - the tips link then download the NTSC fix zip file!
actually sorry - check this link instead:

once i short those legs on my v9 will it be a pal all the time or will i have both pal/ntsc?

As mentioned shorting the legs is for PAL stations to be able to play NTSC in PAL - so effectively the station will play both NTSC and PAL happily on a PAL TV.
If you have an NTSC station you need to link the point to 3.3V instead of ground and then the NTSC station will play both PAL and NTSC in color on a NTSC TV.
