i want a dvd player/recorder im wondering if there are any dvd recorders that can play and record on both -/+ disks
so far the ones i have found at futureshop/bestbuy can only record on either + or -'s not both
does anyone know a good model that can record both type's of disks

Well the LiteOn and LG 4X or 8x +- is proberly your best buy in dual format drive for @$129/$159cdn, but if your a cheapskate like me go for a single format 4x Pioneer A05 for around $95cdn. Tigerdirect.ca has the Bulldog 4x DV-R for $59cdn have eenough cash left over for a couple cakes of media also. I will eventually upgrade to the the fasted DVDR once it hits its fastest speed of 16X coming to a store near in about a year or so since the 12X is already out and about !

actually i meant an external recorder/player that can record off tv.

why/how would u record a dvd writer off tv???...

i want to record programs that air on tv on to a dvd
im not asking about a dvd writer that sits in a computer. im looking for the dvd recorder that's like a vcr
