Hi everyone,
This is my first post so I'll apolagise now for any stuff-ups I'm about to make.
I have been using clonedvd with anydvd without any problems for a couple of weeks now. Everything went wrong when I downloaded dvdshrink and nero,I know they don't get on together so I got rid of nero & shrink.
Now every time I try to copy a dvd with clone it shows This OD:\VIDEO-TS?VTS-01-2.VOB:23:readerrorTCE. It even does this on dvd's that it previously had no problem with. I have uninstalled clone and reinstalled latest version still the same problem. Any ideas would be much apprieciated.

Have you tried reextracting the dvd? Maybe the movie extracted badly.

Thanks for your reply Tyler.
The problem happens after I click Go on clone and it starts to read origanal dvd, is this what you mean by extracting the file.

Thats one way of extracting the files. Directing CloneDVD directly to the original DVD is one way of doing it.

The way I do it and what I think is the best way is to browse the dvd and copy the files to your hdd, either by copy and paste or by some other means.

When the files are completely on your hdd then direct CloneDVD to that folder and continue from there.

Okay I'll give that a go. Do you have any idea as to why it might be playing up this way, and do you think it is related to the shrink and nero dowloads.

I know its not related to Shrink and Im pretty sure its not related to Nero. If anything it may just be a dirty disc. Whenever you extract and compress a movie "on the fly" (thats what its called when you direct CloneDVD directly to the DVD Disc), your dealing with a very sensitive process. Anything can ruin the process.

Compressing from files on the HDD is a lot safer because your not reading from a spinning dvd.

I know I'm really showing my ignorance now, but how do YOU copy a movie to your HD can you use clone or do I have to get some other software

Or you can just get DVDDecrypter if your not sure and click all files and extract. www.dvddecrypter.com

Had this my self once. got round it by using dvddecrypter to write an ISO file. Clonedvd reads these ISOs fine and my copy problem was solved.
