C&C Generals no cd crack V1.7

i have tryed to get a C&C Generals no cd crack V1.7 for a while now and everyone i have downloaded gives me a GAME.DAT file i put this in but it still asks for the disk can some one help me on what 2 do thanx :rolleyes:

You have to use the downloaded V1.7 GAME.DAT and the cracked GENERALS.EXE of V1.0 . The GENERALS.EXE is always the same. Game updates never change the GENERALS.EXE .

I tried that but it launches, goes to a black screen and comes back to my desktop :(

heres the files sizes maybe something its wrong

game.dat 5.40 MB (5,664,768 bytes)
generals.exe 116 KB (118,784 bytes)
