Backups work on one XBOX but not another

Hi

My brother has backed up some games for me which include Max Payne2 and Medal of Honour Rising Sun. They work perfectly fine on his XBOX however when I run them on my XBOX they appear to start loading with the XBOX screen coming up, but then it flicks back to the menu screen and nothing happens. There is no message that it can't read the disk. It is though the XBOX knows its a back up and stops loading. I have other games which he has backed up for me and they work fine. He has even backed them up onto different media with the same result. They work on his chipped XBOX but not mine. I think my chip is an Xecutor chip, i'm not sure what his is. Is there anyway or technique I can use to get them to work without reburning them? Cheers.

try updating your bios to the latest one first

i cannot tell you how to do this but if a moderator tells you that's ok
other than that your chip can be updated very easily have you tried a search

You can tell him how to update his BIOS, you just can't tell him where to get the BIOS. :rolleyes:

Another thing is it mite be the media. Drive a differnt brand of DVD. Or it could be your DVD-Rom drive it self.

thanks. As i do not have a PC (I use a macintosh at work) can i burn a new bios onto a CD and update it from the CD? I still have the original dashboard on my xbox. If I can do this can you tell me how or point me in the right direction? I have tried searching but what I find doesn't make alot of sense to me! Cheers!

just tell him to patch the games before burning. Patching is universal between game.

Yup, just tell him to create an iso using isocraxtion and that'l sort ur prob out. Both of them games have the media check in them

I also am having a problem loading max payne 2 back up from my xbox. but mine will load the game but it freezes when loading the first level with original and backup, have used 2 diff copies of original. any help would be apprieciated. email thanks.
