View Full Version : Pioneer 106 dvd burner problem

I need someones help, have been burning happinly for two months, somehow i seem to have changed a setting on the burner, it seems to be trying to burn dvd9, which i don't have.

It gets to the stage where is tries to bun in DVD clone & fails, saying it is trying to burn DVD9.

What have i done?, how can i fix it. the burner it trying to make some sort of clicking noise trying to burn DVD9.

Please advise what to do.

well first off i would change the software to dvdx copy xpress or dvd2shrink they are good programs. you shouldnt have any probs with them.

DVD9? Interesting. ....

Is it trying to burn the whole DVD? ie a DVD that has more than 4.7 or so GB (DVD5)? For me, I don't trust any of those progs (DVDX Copy, etc). I end up using DVDShrink and then burning the IFO with Copy to DVD. Or I use Clone DVD with a seperate prog to copy movies.

I heard that Dual Layer DVDs (DVD9?) are coming out soon. Anyone know when they're coming out? I could sure use them! Also will they be compatible with current burners out there in the market right now?

Oh yeah, I also have a Pioneer 106/A06. Great burner! Don't exactly know why yours is doing that though....
