Unforunately no. Besides, the xbox can't play vcd's anyways.

i put vcd in tray
i go into xbox media player i have 2.4
choose my videos
then i choose either
cd/dvd in xbox(udf)
or
cd/dvd in xbox (iso9660)
either one it don't matter
then MPEG2
then i click on avseq01.mpg
or whatever it's called
it plays SVCD aswell

yea some drives can play it
but most cant
for movies that are not dvds
its easiest to upload it and play it on xbmp

it depends what drive you have in your xbox my bro had a thompson (the tray has an arch shape when you open it) it Doesn't play any cdr my daughter has a philips (the tray has a key hole shape) it plays most cdr i put in and i have a samsung (the tray has two holes one either side of the shape) it plays all the cdr i put in
anyway iv'e read threads about this on here and even rms2001 has said this

yah, region has nothing to do with it. It depends on your dvd-drive. I have a crappy thompson and xbmp plays vcd's only off of cd-rw's and dvd media.

Just so you all know, the actual vcd .dat file is basically a renamed mpeg. So, if you copied it to xbmp and just change the file extension, it will play. This is for those that can't read cd-rs. Of coarse in order to get it on your xbox though, you'd have to send it through a pc connection.

thompson (thx for ur descriptions)
