hey,

bighap u can sort me out here

i got some go3 2x ritek dvd-r and the gits only record at 1x how come?

i remember i needed some hacked firmware right?

also will it damage or make the console last alot slower than a firmware version of 1.06

is there any way u could change the firmware back

Yes you need a hacked firmwaree. You can get it here (http://flashman.rpc1.org/Firmware/PIONEER/DVR-106D/DVR-106D%20v1.07%20-%20RPC-1%20+%202xDVD-R%20+%2012xRip.zip) . And yes you can downgrade if it doesn't work out. Your warranty is foid if you flash your firmware, even if you use official Pioneer firmware. Bad drives after flashing is rare though. Most people here have flash their drives at some point.

I've used the modified firmware for many months now with no problems. Was nice to burn at 2x on that dye.
Use the G04 now cos I love speed and seems a better dye all round.
