yes when you use rar again it will be your iso to put on cdrw then just boot it up in your xbox and you'll find it in your settings/load apps from hdd depending on which evox you use

as far as i know the only way to play imported games on a pal xbox is to have it modded i've never heard any other way

yup i have a modded xbox
however some NTSC games dont work for some reason relating to my xbox's capability of playing PAL games only
or something like that
like the NTSC game i play i can hear the sound, but i can't see any video

sounds to me like your backup wasn't backed up properly what bios do you have? and is your clock on xbox set to the correct time

nah, his backup is fine. He has to switch video modes in order to play the game, which i think he did. Your tv might not support ntsc video mode. have u tried any other ntsc games?
When i try and play pal games, i get sound but no video. That is because my tv is old and does not support pal.

are you talking about you original NTSC games? or your own backed up version?

It was timesplitters 2. Same thing for originals and backups. I had a DC game which did the same thing too.
btw, most pal tv's do support ntsc. When you played the game, did you change your xbox to ntsc with the video mode selector?
Also, have you tried both the 50 and 60 video selection?

the problem is that i dont have a custom dashboard like evox or anything and therefore i cant fully access the video mode selector
using the original ms dashboard it says something like the cd is not blah blah

then you will need to put evox on it read the stickies they are very good and it will tell you what to do. the only problem i sometimes get with NTSC is my backups load up a little bit jerky and has audio cuts aswel i use the enigmah switch in one of the menus on evox dashboard and it works smooth i've never had any loss of video problems and my oldest tv is about 7-8 years old

i acquired a tutorial from xbox scene instructing how to install evox without ftp-ing, and using only a cd-rw
would anyone know whether this is safe, proper, fine etc?

It should work fine. I also have a tutorial on my site, using a program called boXplorer. A link is in my sig.
