hey guys whats up!! when i sent my xbox to get modded a long time ago i didnt check what version i had or anything of that sort. i just wrapped it up and shipped it. and when i got it back i had totally different xbox. so i told the installer what happened with mine and he said that with all the systems laying around he couldnt figure out which one was mine anymore. but the he told me that he had sent me a v1.1 which had the samsung drive. so today i wanted to identify the dvd drive on my xbox so i went to xbox scene and looked at the pictures for the tompson the phillips and the samsung. he seems that he lied to me cause he drive that i have isnt a samsung at all. it looks like either a phillips or a thomson. and i cant seem to distinguish one from the other. i think im going blind or something :p so then i went to the system info on my xbox and saw K1.00.4817.01 and D1.00.4920.01 so how do i know exactly what drive i have..sorry for the inconvience. also is there a place where i can order a samsung drive so that i can install it myself? cause i dont wanna fork bucks trying to find the media that is compatible with either the phillips or the thomson. cause i heard that these drives are very picky on media. and i know that the samsung plays almost any media that u throw at it.

i sent it to ldubb. i dont wanna say he's a bad installer or anything of that sort just to make sure to be organized with his orders. plus he has giving me great deals too so i dont wanna say anything that will get him offended.

Heres a Samsung on eBay for sale.

The seller seems a little harsh, but has good feed back for the most part.

Let me know if you get it or not. I'll keep my eye out for other deals around here.

ADDED:

You can buy a Samsug from connector777 for $90 + $10 S&H.
