Make sure you are using RecordNow Max 4.50 or later. This (http://downloads.stompinc.com/support/stprnm450v.exe) will upgrade you to 4.50. Also make sure you have the latest px engine update installed. Get it here (http://support.sonic.com/Downloads/engine.asp)

Yeah, I got the update a few days ago, just getting the px engine. What does it do?

What programs came with your burner? Im sure you can probably use that. But if not try Nero or something.

Or you can wait for an update for RNM.

Some program called B's recoder GOLD, I like using RecordNow MAX, it's what I've been using all the time, no other program comes close. I guess I'll exchange the burner then.

I saw this thread at DVDR help forum, someone claims that Recordnow DX 4.61 can recognize LG GSA-4040B.

Yeah maybe but, its not made by STOMP. Its made by another franchise. Heck it may still be as good though.

It looks similar to Roxios EZ CD&DVD Creator crossed with Stomp RNM.

Let us know how it turns out.

Ottoman and a few of his buddies use 4.6 DX with 100% success.

I got it, have yet to test a game, I'm going to wait till Socom 2 comes out and make a backup of it once I get it. But the good thing is that it reads the dvd-rw.

So your saying it now recognizes your burner?

Yup, as far as I can tell it works the same as RecordNow MAX.

I am sure that fixes LG and 4.50 problem. Care to give it a try Jay boy?

Nope even with the latest Px Engine it wouldn't detect it. Weird thing is, while reinstalling RecordNow MAX, I had to uninstall RecordNow DX, just like you would need to reinstall a previous version to update.
