Alcohol dvd burning...........

When I burn DVD ps2 games with alcohol, the option to chose the data type eg.Playstation 2 ....disapears. I have had a look through the alcohol burning forums but cant find one explaining dvd ps2 disks. Also what is the best write speed also to burn dvd ps2 disks....I have a sony burner and it is 4x speed.

Ive started to use ALCOHOL pretty exclusively for my burns, always fast 4x speed. Whether its an ISO or BIN CUE ALCOHOL knows how to burn it and burns it right. Just leave the settings at default and youll be fine.

When I try to make a image from a PS2 game using Alcohol 120% I can only select 'Media Descriptor(.mds)' for my image format, I have no option for iso,bin.. Can I turn that file into a iso afterwards?

Do have to get a plug in or something?

Alcohol 120% is a pretty good burning program although I did find a problem with it when I tried to use it to burn PS2Reality 1.5 .cue and .bin . Just would not make a working disc so used CDRWin in the end and worked perfectly. Also had the same problem with Nero and am now a convert to CDRWin for all .cue / .bin files. As for DVDs Alcohol is fine. No problems using it to back up my original ps2 dvd games although I still use Veritas RecordNowDX4.6 as my prefered choice of PS2 DVD backup software.

Another good thing about alcohol120% is that it burns cloneCD images.
