RavenShield Problems

Hi guys,

Recently posted to find out how I can get RavenShield v1.41 to work over a LAN. Well, thanks for all your help - I have now gone out and bought another 2 additional copies (1 for my brother who undoubtedly will play it once and another copy for my friend) bought them from www.play.com for £12.99 each!!!

For those of you that are trying to LAN up with a single copy, well it won't work... You need to have a copy each as it doesn't check the CD, it checks the CD-Key.

Well test this. Registrate you CD-KEY (in the game) and create a UBI-SOFT account.

When you play in LAN it will check if CD-KEY is valid online..but I think if you registrate in the game, each copy in each computer...it will not do that. Other wice contact me... I've got a LAN fix that I can send to you, that's works with 1.41 version. But...you must test other things before! (It works for me without LAN fix)

Thats most appreciated... I've just gone and spent a whole wad of cash on 2 more copies! Even buying one for a mate of mine (I'm nice like that!)

If you want to send me a LAN fix then that would be cool, but if not then that's understood and I'll just play around with it with my Bro and friend.

Well seams that you can play the game without LAN fix...so no releas...are gonna be released.

you need to validate your cd-key over internet once, after that you can play over lan without needing an internet connection.

hi all,

i have the same problem that many have : can't start a lan without being asked for a cdkey

i thought i was condemned to play on 1.31 but read most of threads here and find that it exist a lan fix for 1.41, like for 1.31 version

i tried all the links, from krondike and eagle, but didn't work anymore (404)

i searched on krondike site but no more 1.41 lan fix :(
same thing on eagle site :(

searched it also on many sites and network, but same results as before :(((

so is one of you can tell me where can i find it or send me it ?

I ask long time ago if I should releas LAN fix for 1.41 and I didn't get any respond. And I think the things is that if you have a valid CD-Key and registrate and put in your cd-key on lan once and connect to ubisoft I think they don't ask you for the cd-key again becuase it dose some .ini settings when they have done that! That's why I haven't releas a new fix. That's why I shouldn't releas a new fix. So please registrate your cd-key!

you say you haven't release a new fix and you don't want to, ok. i saw on much threads a file released by you for fixing lan problem on 1.41 version si you've already released one. i saw links but they didn't works anymore. same things pointing ove eagle site
so what is this file ?

i'm asking for this file because your trick about registering cdkey, i don't understand very well. i tried and it didn't work :(

1----If you want to play via LAN , you just have ton install the patch 1.41 with the crack that you find on GCW.com!!!

(pick the one with the core.dll file, it works better)

2----start a dedicated server in multiplayer menu.

3----start your RSgame (from te same computer or an other oe on the LAN) , multiplayer game, find sever & you can enter ANY keys for the passwords, but you must NOT BE CONNECTED ON THE NET!!!

4----Enjoy!!!

The 1.31 one link is off. The only working that should work is the one's that is in GameCopyWorld.

You said it didn't work. My question is, have you regisrate an ubi-soft account?

Do you have 2 diffrent valid cd-keys? Have you ever get other message than invalid cd-key?

krondike, i was talking about 1.41 lan fix, not the 1.31. i've already installed it. i saw severals links for downloading the 1.41 lan fix on many posts but they were dead (one on your site and one on eagle site)

i launch a dedicaced server and when i search for a server, nothing happened, i see none

and when i create a normal lan server, still saying "cdkey server not responding" and asking for the cdkey

You must be the only one that's having problem with RvS6 now...
