View Full Version : RGB SCART cable
Hi
I bought a Rgb scart cable today becouse i wanted to play my NTSC game with colour. but when i tried it, it didnt work.. it was still black and white.
does anyone know why?
Put the console into RGB Mode. To do this, make sure no disc is in the PS2 and the 'Browser' and 'System Configuration' options come up. Select 'System Configuration.' When the screen appears, press up twice until you see the option 'Component Video Out.' Press 'X' to enter the menu and scroll along, select RGB and press 'X'. Now, press 'O' twice to take you back to the main screen. Put in your NTSC game and see if this helps...
Keep us posted,

The reason why is because of your tv set, it must be compatiable with 60 hertz have a look at the back of the tele or in the manual or try it on a widescreen then it will work
If the TV that will only display in black and white has two scart sockets, only one of them will be RGB compliant( usually Scart 1), the other will only be composite video and will only display NTSC in black an white.
