Been poking around the Tron20.net message boards, and found a whole hoard of people having the same problem I'm having.

Sounds effects play in game, but voices do not. No speech at all. >_< I've toyed with EAX speaker settings and various other sound options. Nada.
Anyone else have this problem and find a solution?

Also any status on a NoCD for patch 1.1? Don't flame me, if it's not two weeks yet! I just bought the game, and there's no mention of the patch release date on the site, so I'm unsure.

Bah...not five minutes after I posted, I find the solution. ^_^
Was inspired to look some more..

Anywho for those of you having the same sound issue, I found this buried on their tech support site:
==============================

ISSUE:
When playing TRON 2.0, ambient sounds, voice overs and music are not heard. All sounds within the game and menu screens may also be muted.

CAUSE:
TRON 2.0 uses MP3 codecs to play back all of its in game sounds (e.g., music, ambient sounds, triggered sound FX, voice overs, etc). The codec used by the game is installed into the Windows/System32 folder during the installation process. If the system already contains a CODEC file by the same name, a conflict will occur.

RESOLUTION:
To resolve this issue, you must delete the existing CODEC file and manually install the correct file from the CD-ROM.

DETAILED RESOLUTION:

1) From the Windows desktop, right-click on the Start button and select Explore.
2) Browse to C:\Windows\System32.
3) Within the System32 folder, locate the l3codeca.acm file (the first letter of the file name is an "L").
4) If the file is not listed, perform the following steps. If it is listed, proceed to Step 5.

a) Click on the Tools drop-down menu and select Folder Options.
b) Select the View tab to bring it forward.
c) Ensure that Show hidden files and folders is selected.
d) Ensure that the following 2 lines ARE NOT selected:

-Hide extensions for known file types
-Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)

e) Click on OK to confirm the changes.
f) If the file is still not listed, then it was not correctly installed. Proceed to Step 6 to install the CODEC file.

5) Right-click on the l3codeca.acm file and select Delete.
6) Install the correct version of the CODEC file.

a) Insert TRON 2.0 Disc 2 into the CD-ROM drive.
b) From within the Explore window, select the TRON CD-ROM icon.
c) Double-click on the WMFADIST.EXE icon, and then click on Yes to install the CODEC file.

7) TRON 2.0 should now play without an further sound issues

I know this has nothing to do with game cracks, and hence is off-topic, but this problem was damn annoying, thanks much for posting the solution! :)
