Ok, I just bought a $200 Redoctane Metal Dance Pad, a $25 PS-X Change V2, and a $57 brand new import copy of DDR 5th Mix. Now I am totally at a loss because I cannot find a single anti-mod code to input into it. All I manage to find is this patching crap which leads me to believe I'm supposed to copy my game onto a CD-R along with the patch stuff? This is something I don't want to do if that's the case and I'd much rather just have an anti-mod code if one exists. If I have gotten the wrong explanation as to what I'm supposed to do with this patch like, I burn THAT onto a CD, put that in after the PS-X Change and THEN insert the game, then please tell me, in detail what it is I'm exactly supposed to do, and please don't lead me to another tutorial or website that doesn't exist. I just wanna play my game is all.

Didn't find a code. You need to patch it. get the patch here (http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_patches_d.shtml) and follow this (http://www.psx-paul.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ppfv3.htm) guide.

That guide didn't tell me anything other than to burn to a CD-R. Am I supposed to have cloned a copy of the game or what?

You make an image of your game, apply the patch, then burn.

Elaborate, I'm basically lost. So, what am I doing to my PSX disc and will I be using that same disc or a burned copy after this patch is applied?

You make an image with your original using a prog such as cdrwin. Take that image and apply the patch to it. You then burn the image with the applied patch to a cdr. You play your burned game. Forget the original.

*sigh* I should probably just buy an Import PSX but...what do I take from the game to make the image?

No, buying an import psx is a waste when you can patch and burn the game in around 10-20 minutes. Guess you need more details?

Follow this (http://www.psx-paul.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/cdrwin.htm) guide.

Yeah I could.

2 questions. Here is the layout of what's on my disc:
Dummy.bin
Read_dt.bin
Slpm_868.97
Str.bin
Xa.str

What do I need to make the image and secondly, where do I get a copy of this ppf-o-matic v3.0?

Follow the guide in my previous post. You can get PPF-O-Matic here (http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_ppf.shtml)

Ok, well, it works most of the time. But the only time it EVER booted up properly was on the first try. Most of the time it takes me at least 5 tries to get the game to even boot up. Sometimes even after 20 tries it won't boot up. And it also does weird things too, like the music in the character and options screens is all jumpy, and it's the same way with the song selection screen, and sometimes when I'm playing the music will stop midsong and come back a few seconds later. Has anyone else had problems like this?
