well to answer your first question the best mod chip (thats coming out soon) is the Neo4, i would have to say that the Messiah is good but has got alot of stuff the Neo4 doesn't, but they are both Vapourware at the moment.
yes, it is pretty good to get a mod chip, i reakon

The best modchip out at the mo is the NEO2.2 or its older brother the NEW NEO2.5 The NEO4 is still not realeased yet so if you wanted to buy a chip 2morow then the NEO2.5 would be your best bet.
