Hi all!

I have been trying to search for a guide as to what a boot cd for psx could be used for, but no luck, so now I will try and write here and hope for some feedback.

I am very noob in psx cracking and stuff like that but when I heard about the bootcd I instantly figured it was something to use in stead of a bootchip/modchip, is this correct ?

If not could someone pls tell me what a bootcd for psx is for ?

I thought it was a way for a person to play backed up games without having to install a boot/mod chip, if this is so can someone pls give me the instructions on how and what to do to make it work ?

Thank you very much!

Yes, a boot cd such as PS-X exchange is an alternative to a modchip. You can get one here (http://www.baysoftgames.com/psxchange1.html). And no you can not download one. They are all bogus.
