WinXP Pro game protection?

Hello,

I recently switched over to winxp from win2k, I have a great amount of no-cd installed for my games. They will not work anymore but the orginal cd and burned cd's work just fine. Is this a problem with win xp? Is there a way I can go back to not searching through cd's to play? =\

I use game cracks in Xp and everything works...Sounds strange. If you manage to solve your prob then reply....
