All LG burners cannot copy safedisc2 (sd2)titles (whic RA2 is protected with)

Therefore, you will not be able to copy games protected by sd2.
You will however be able to copy other protection mechanisms without much fuss.

As your burner isn't SD2 compatible, then if you want to make a copy or RA2 you can either download the fixed exes from Gamecopyworld, or you can use Unsafedisk to do it yourself (better chance of success in my opinion).

Remember though, RA2 not only has the main exe protected (the one you start the game with), but also the setup.exe Run Unsafedisk on this file also. Have a look around for instructions on how to use Unsafedisk (I'm sick of typing them out all the time).

seems like everybody forgot to answer about the software...well the best software for burnig(i think)is clone cd and cdr-win...they are both very capable and have many useful features...

VLuka (30-01-2002 08:34):
I have LG 16/10/40 and it can copy SD2 games, I didn't try with the 2.51 though.

Which exact model number is it?
CloneCd website mentions a GCE8160B which is unable to do efm correctly.

Which games have you copied, and will they run in ALL cdroms, not just the burner??

It would seem that elaborate-bytes need to update that list then.

And to say "Of course they all work in other CD drives / machines." misses the point that many copies on certain writers will only work in that writer and no other. I was merely checking that wasn't the case, and did not want to assume that this writer would work fine with sd2.

As the saying goes, "Assume makes and ass out of u and me"
