Does anyone know of no-disk patches for Dance ejay 2 and RCT:Loopylandscapes ?
Is it possible to learn how to make them for yourself ?
Does no-cd patching a game make it run faster(since its not accessing the cd) ?
With the max-payne no-cd-patch do you have to copy any data from the cd (i tried it, the game ran but seemed more clunky with its frame rate) ?
Do i have to put "please answer" at the end of my topic title to get an answer!!?!?

A no cd patch is a fixed .exe so the game will not ask for the correct cd.
just ask and dont be smart and you will get a answer!

It is possible to make no-cd patches for yourself but it'll take a lot of teaching yourself asm c####g, debugging etc. If you've no idea what I mean then I'd forget it.
As for other no-cd patches/loaders.....sometimes it is necessary to copy some files over to you HD, but this is normally music files or video. This is rare as most of these files on an original cd are compressed, and decompressed and placed on your HD by the initial install prog.
Normally there is a CD-Check just to ensure use of an original cd, not for access to files from it.
As for max payne, there are no files needed from the cd. Poor frame rate is more likely a hardware defect, not the fact your running a cracked app. sometimes this may be caused by AV software running in the background.
A simple solution to you no-cd quandry is to use daemon tools from www.daemonshome.cjb.net
This site also tells how to use it.

Fixed exe and NO-CD are mixed up a lot of times. Typically a NO-CD patch is meant to make the game run without the need for any cd. A fixed exe is typically to stop a cd check usually at the start of the game.
With most games nowadays copying all the files needed to the HD, the fixed exe will do the job of a NO-CD as the cd is only needed for checking purpose at the start of a game. This is why ppl mix them up.
Ahhh well... Just me on a rant.
