im just wondering.

my dreamcast has a modem, and my pc has a modem. using a standard telephone cable, would it be possible to link the pc to the dc? there could be software developed for the PC that "emulates" a phone line (namely a dial-tone), that the dc could be made to dial into. the rest is anyone's guess. screeching high pitched noises and the dc is then "connected" to the pc.

this is to provide a cheap means of pc-dc communication. for those who can't get their hands on or make serial cables, and/or can't afford or find the broadband adapter in their regions.

just a thought...

The dc modem works like a modem :-)

Online gaming is still an interesting aspect of the dreamcast.

there are only a few servers left , but may worth a try.
i think you will use your pc broadband connection
with the dreamcast, here is information about this:

a program called WinRoute or WinRoutePro is used
to share the internet connection.

here is information about this.

bad news: sega of a america shuts down all dreamcast
servers this month, except of the PSO servers :-(

I think there´s a"Speed Devils Online" server
on www.ubisoft.com

some games allow yo to open your own server,
so you can still play them even if sega has forgot
ever made a console called dreamcast.

If anybody knows other dreamcast servers, please submit them
