View Full Version : sims
Hi, I have The sims on cd-rom and i know i need a patch to run it but as i'm new to this, would some one be patient enough to lead me through it and help me do it? Thanks ever so much
Hi, you need to download the patch/fixed exe file for The sims, you can get it at ####://go.to/gamefix. Install the game from the disc you have, then you extract the patch you downloaded into the same directory that the exe file of Sims is, f.x. C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims if that is your directory. That is it, now your game should work like a original one.
If you need more details of how to do this please ask again,

Nothing important just download the fixed exe from gamecopy world and then replace the real with the one you downloaded!

Hi, I don't know if you can help me with my problem as well. I've copied The Sims Houseparty, using ClonyXXL and then CloneCD. It said that the game had copied successfully, and when I tried loading the game onto the PC, it went on fine. When I tried to run it, however, it crashes b4 the games even started. Any idea's what I've done wrong, or whether I need a patch??
Thanks
The original cd is protected by safedisc 2 which few burners can copy. Your copy will install but not run as the cd check is in the game loader, not the install routine.
If you don't fancy getting a new burner, then download Daemon tools from www.daemonshome.cjb.net and run it. You'll then be able to mount your image file created by clonecd as a virtual cdrom. Your game will run from that as if it was an original in a real drive.
Hope this helps ;)

Yep, me too! Downloaded Daemon Tools, and also tried copying it again on warp-speed, and somehow, somewhere between the two, it works - I don't care how or why, just that it does!
Thanks for the advice :)
