hey m8 those are the settings for the most burners :
READ:
tick fast error skip ( within this choose read retries 5 and error correction none)

Write:

Tick weak sector amplifier
tick close last session
write speed 4X

I have seen poelpe just select 3 read retries and i have used that mysellf, they work, but there is probably no difference between 3 and 5 anyway.

I tried those settings. My ClonyXL told me to use those same settings to copy sd2. But it also showed 5 skulls meaning it is the hardest to override. Guess what? I have made about 30 frisbees trying, so got any other ideas on how to crack it?

If you told us what burner you have we might be able to clarify what's going wrong.

never spend your cds,they are valuable!!!!!!try using a cd-rw when you are not sure!well,i have burned about 150 cds since i bought my burner and only 4 of them have failed!

p.s.(all the faulty cds were burned with nero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

@TLK
Sounds like ur burner isn't capable of 'correct EFM c####g' - bascially can't handle Safedisk 2. You could try using 'Amplify Weak Sectors' If that doesn't work your only option is to use a crack from GCW.

Like I said earlier, we need to know TLK's burner.

It could be that his burner is capable of EFM enc####g correctly, and that his problem is that he's running a cdr from a burner with a version of sd2 that does an ATIP check.

When will people learn that help can only be given if certain basic info is given first!

Kind of matey. I was just trying to ascertain whether his problem was down to a simple ATIP check failure with a good copy, or whether the simple fact is that his burner isn't capable of correct EFM.
Like I've said many times, without all the info, we can only speculate and clog the board with half answer posts.
