PS2 version 5 - cdr issues.

I have noticed a couple of problems with version 5's reading ps2 cdr's. Have also come across it a couple of times during installations for other people.

Does anyone know if this is an inherant weakness in version 5's?

I haven't noticed ANY problems with my PAL V5.....

It plays all media with no problem whatsoever.....

I do clean it on a regular basis, so maybe that has something to do with it....

Yeah, had no problem on my version 5 either but several people have come across this. Perhaps I should go into business selling dvd lens cleaners??!!

I have never had any problems reading PS2 CD-Rs with my v5 PAL, or any of the other 4 v5 PALs that belong to my family :)
