Virtual CloneDrive?

I have Command and Conquer Generals and i want to use Clone CD's Virtual CloneDrive to put the run cd into a virtual drive so it doesnt keep asking me for the cd.I already tried making a copy of it with Clone but it didnt work. so could anyone help? :)

to run anything with a virtual drive, you must make an image file of the cd, and then load THAT into the virtual drive. it sounds like you tried to burn the image, and run it from that?

well ive tried several things, first i tried to burn a copy of it from an original, then i tried to burn a .img, .ccd to a disk and run it, and last im trying is to use virtual drive.and i dont know the steps to take to do this, from what i understand :when im burning this .img i can just select the virtual drive letter and it will be recognized as a cd-rom or whatever?
