I'm thinking of getting an LG GMA-4020b, their first and only DVD-R/RW recorder.

I was hoping to get some comments and suggestions about it's capabilities and faults. Specifically, would this recorder be able to record PS2 games properly on Ritek, Verbatim or some relatively reflective media?

Any thoughts and/or comments are welcome =).
Thanks in advance, Hello.

Sorry about that, the LG unit costs CAN$293. More info can be found at http://www.lgeus.com/Product/CD/GMA4020b.asp

Your link is not working, take the period off the end. Looks pretty good. Could be a little faster but if you don't mind then it's all good.

For a little bit more money you can get a 4x Cendyne.

Everywhere I go people are using and recommending Pioneer DVD-recorders. The reason I wasn't considering them was cause they cost CAN$400+. But my friend found me a place to get the Pioneer DVR-105, the OEM model of the DVR-A05, for CAN$332 =).

Thanks for your replies, great forum ya have here. :)

The Pioneer A-05 / 105 is a top choice. As well as burning dvd-r a 4X it also has RawDao96 for perfect cd copying, yes maybe not the cheapest but well tried and tested and a firm favourite.
