I made a successful perfect back up of No one lives forever which is SD2 with a non SD2 compatible burner.. Sony CRX-140e. This was using the new enhance weak sector feature on clonecd. YAAAHAHAHA. This is now good becuase i can backup everything with this.

Sorry to tell you this, but No One Lives Forever is not "True" SD2, it doesn't have the Weak Sectors as all the new games do.

No One Lives Forever, Red Alert 2, Delta Force 3, Oni to name a few will copy & play perfectly with my Mitsumi, which is not SD2 compatable, Startopia, Sims House Party, Max Payne, Yuri's Revenge to name a few have "True" Weak Sectors, my Mitsumi will not copy or play these without using Betablocker to "Change/Repair" the weak sectors ....

Well mine wouldn't do it before. So i wil try with a more difficult SD2 one.

You could find that i'm wrong about RA2, this did use Weak Sectors but they were not "True" like the newer games that are out now, like Yuri's Revenge for example ....

RA2 was SD2 version 2.30.030, Yuri's Revenge was SD2 version 2.40.010, but if you want to go closer Delta Force 3 was 2.30.030 & Startopia was 2.30.031, this was where the "True" Weak Sectors started ....

Is Max Payne a good example to try?

Max Payne, Yuri's Revenge, Startopia, Stronghold, Operation Flashpoint, Sims: Hot Date Expansion either of these would be good to test with ...

Hmmm, I wonder about this "amplify weak sectors" thing.

Ollie is being rather candid at the mo, but does it work in a similar way to BetaBlocker?

Why? Because neither BB or CloneCd's new option will give me good copies in my Plex 8432.

Tried with Black & White, Max Payne, Op Flash...all no go with both clonecd and BB.

I grant you that this is far from conclusive.

I have tried the "amplify weak sectors" thing with my Mitsumi, tried:
Read:
4x.
Read Subchannel from Data.
Fast Error Skip.

Write:
2x.
Amplify Weak Sectors.
Don't Repair Subchannel.
Always Close Last Session.

Didn't work.

Then Tried:
Read:
4x.
Fast Error Skip.

Write:
2x.
Amplify Weak Sectors.
Always Close Last Session.

Didn't work, but given this might have been a problem cause Hot Date detects if CCD is installed...

When I use BB, I Tick Read Subchannel from Data, use BB, then write it back to CD Tick Don't Repair Subchannel Data. I found that if I don't do it this way BB doesn't work ...
