I am planning on buying a matrix mod chip for my xbox. I just started looking into what i need to do today. My question is that i have been looking at a bunch of web sites. Many sites say i need the evox 6 eject file or something like that. another site says all i need is an evox.ini and a default.xbe file which i happened to get just now. The site says i just copy those to the xbox hardrive and rename the file on the xbox then restart. I am not sure which i should do. any information is apreciated.

Thank you

The Matrix is just a modchip nothing more.
It does however need to be flashed with a BIOS, so you can boot back ups and what not.

You can use a normal BIOS or the "Eject Fix" BIOS. The only difference between the Eject Fix and the normal BIOS is, once your XBox has booted a back up, and you were to push the eject button your XBox would not reboot, like it would normally.

yea the matrix
is of course the no solder chip

to flash it yourself

thats true they do need to be flashed by the user/installer.

i got a local installer to flash both of mine, as i couldn't be bothered to do it my self.

the matrix chip comes with a handy flashing device, to flash the chip easily with your computer. shouldnt be that much of a big deal ;)

Its really easy to flash the Matrix. Just you mite have to play with delay on WinLPC some times depending on the PC.

hey your rite i'm lazy but i realy dont bother messing with modchips the guy who did mine is a good friend he ordered the chips took delivery, fitted them and flashed them.

i was more busy messing with my new cellular phone unlock kits, if i have to reflash the chips i will but seeing as this guy had the chips himself i let him flash them.
