how old?

i just bought a second hand pal ps2 which works perfect.before i get it fitted with a messiah 2 i wonder if anyone knows how old it is by the model number as i don't want it modded if the laser might pack up in a months time.model scph 39003 pal. thanks

39003 is a v7 not old at all
