cant copy using clone ?????

hey fellas
im new to this game but have been told clone is the main man in copying games etc
ive got a lite on writer and ive checked with clone website and it says its ok.
anyway im trying to do backups of 2 backups namely tweenies and millionaire but when it tries to read the disc it just goes really slow and locks up the pc ive tried using the writer to read instead of my panasonic dvd but still the same.
ive used it for other stuff and its ok so i think its the 2 games as it does exactly the same with nero
anyone help out a newbie

In my opinion, there must be something conflicting between the software you are using...I mean, if you have CloneCD and Nero installed on the same HD, they could conflict between them....it happened to me with Nero ver.4.0.0.9 and CloneCD, so since then I've installed them on different partitions of my HDD. Furthermore, to make clonecd work and have a perfect backup of your games, I've seen that millionaire uses a safedisc and safedisc2 protection...so if you have te game with the latest sd2, only a LiteOn 24102b burner will perfectly backup it, 'cause of the supported "correct EFM encoding" (check the Elby site)...if anything of this can help you, I really don't know what to suggest if only to reinstall your O.S.....but this is a real "last chance" option.

Hello there,
The first 7% or so can takes ages to do on some games. Millionaire being one of them.
This is due to the protection & read errors etc.
Can take up to 30 mins or so, so leave it be & be patient. Once past this, it will speed up.
