Can you please tell me how th carry out something that I found on your site as I don't understand the wording. Under the 'Backup Protected Games CDs Executable Unwrappers' section, instructions are given to be able to play a Safedisc v2 CD by using the unSafedisc v2.xx.xx utility. I am running Win XP and which ever version of dumper I select from the download I get an error. Another way around this was to download a nocd.exe from your site, ie in this instance for Max Payne. This .exe replaces the MaxPayne.exe within the directory in the c:\programs.

However, the instructions go on to say that it is possible to make a working backup of a Safedisc v2 protected game using unSafedisc. Having copied the original CD contents to a temp directory, I did a file search to try to locate the main executable. It does not exist, so therfore how can I replace something that does not exist. It is only created when the game is installed, and the c:\program\maxpayne directory is not the original cd. Can someone please advise. Also , what does it mean about using the same cd label as the original cd

It isn't misleading. It just expects a little bit more knowledge than you have, in particular, a knowledge of using the original unsafedisc on sd1 games.

Mail me at crispeater**********com and I'll send you my tutorial on Unsafedisc 2_xx_xx

and matey, I wouldn't start saying things are misleading if you don't even understand what the "label" of a cd is!!

i will tell you two things:firt, when it's said to replace an executable with a fixed cd or a nocd crack, this is done due to passing the content of the original cd into your hard disc and burned into a cd with nero, cdrwin or something like. You replace the exe when you have passed everything to your hd and burn with the new exe.second, otherway is to copy the original cd as is and replace the fixed exe after instalation. The problem becomes when sfv2 and very intelligent installshield people decides to mixed them and hides the exe in the instalation. This is why you don't see any exe around. If you want a "perfect" copy of this types of games, you need to replace the crack into the installshield program with the i5comp or i6comp depending on the installshield version of the program.if you want more info read how to use the ixcomp programs and if doubt appears, try to find somebody like me...xD.
