You're using an Acer burner. This is able to do SD2.

The only difference with newer versions of SD2 is the securom2 style ATIP check, and blacklisting of some applications
i.e. it won't run from a burner which reads the ATIP of a disc (so it can tell the difference between cdr and sliver pressed discs) nor will it run if playbackup, insektors or daemon tools < v2.79 are installed.

with thtat being said is there a list what will tell me witch ones do and witch ones dont i was tring to get more info on that type of protection and it looks as if my plex and liteon 24x should copy that protection to

Er...do you mean which cdroms/burners read the ATIP??
If so then click on the cdmediaworld link above, and go to utils section. You'll find an ATIP checker there. Run it and see which of your drives checks

i have an acer 8x4x32

Hi,
I was wondering if you can please tell me what version of firmware you are using in your Acer drive and are you using a SCSI or IDE interface? Also what model is this drive or is just called a 8x4x32? Any help will be much appreciated!

Regards

@TyShawn

Glad to help mate.

By the way, cdmediaworld has a cdr identifier which if it works, shows that your cdrom can indeed check the ATIP.
