View Full Version : How do I play ps1 games?
Since I got the chip(magic 3 I think) everything has changed, I need to hold the reset button for dvd movies. But I still haven't figured out how to play ps1 games, I press reset with the disk inside but it just goes to the memory card screen. Can someone offer a detailed walkthrough on how to do this please? I want to play FFO in my room instead of in the living room(ps1 is there)

Fuk the magic and get a Messiah and all ur problems will be gone :D
Once I get enough money, i'll buy a premodded ps2 fitted with a messiah 2. I get 30$ a week allowance(im only 16)
Someone?
If you have a Magic 3.......
You boot PS1 games exactly like a dvd movie......
Hold reset until the blue eject light comes on.....

$30 a week allowance at 16? holy crap you're spoiled. you should have a job and be getting nothing for allowance at 16. as soon as i seel my PS2 (v3) i'm putting that money aside for a premodded.

Then either your backups aren't correctly made, using bad media, somethings wrong with the install/chip, or you don't have a magic 3...
The ps2 backups and originals work fine on my playstation so it can't be bad media.
The PS2 backups are normally on DVDR. All PSX backups will be on CD-R. A good way to see if the media you are using to make your PSX backups works is to copy a CD based PS2 game on some. Boot it like any other PS2 game. If it works I would suspect your chip or install, if it doesn't then it is more than likely your media.
I play cd based ps2 backups, virtua fighter 4, maximo, MVC2, the sims, they all work fine. IF its an install prob, what do I have to do?
Some chinese dude that installed my mod-chip for ps1.
I would ask him to go back through and check all his connections.
