How do I use BetaBlocker???

Hey I know how to backup a safedisk 1 game but for sd2 I need to use a patch and am wondering how to use this BetaBlocker thing?

1.make an image of your SD2 cd to your HD with CloneCD
2. Run Beta Blocker by dragging and dropping the game.img file to betablocker, and click "muster suchen.......look up samples"
3. This will alter the weak sectors (if possible...there are 6 possible arrangements and not all work)
4. Burn to a CDRW, and run it from a cdrom (just in case your sd2 version does an ATIP check)
5. It may, or may not work. Give it a go and see

It worked fine when I burned to a CD-RW, but the same 'patched' image didn't work on a normal CD-R. Does beta blocker only work on RW's?
