when i had my old ps2, which was the 1st ones to come out, and i played my copied games on them it was fine....then with my other ps2, which is the newest one that came out, it cant read it at all.....i just dont get it....are the newer ps2 systems modified to not play copied games....and i use the gamshark trick to play my copied games and not a modchip....

Sony figured out this little trick and fixed it so this isn't possible with newer systems. Get a chip.

Wait a minute .. !

Version 1 PS2's could boot copied games with out a modchip !!? I never knew that ! CD-R & DVD-R ?

Hmm. Me wonders if a refurbished v1 would be a great no-mod PS2.

i don't think they'll boot newer games, that or dvd+ media. blah, i can't remember exactly. i have a v3 and i had backed up GTA3, tekken tag, star wars racer revenge, and it boots them just fine. all burnt onto cd-r though
