...will they work on a Messiah-chipped PS2 once that chip is released or is it completely impossible?
Thanx
Chester
HI,
There is no reason why your backups will not boot. I tend to either use CDR-WIn or CLONE CD for backups. NERO is only good for non-protected games. If you can swtich over to the ones ive mentioned above they are much better!!!
Please note your writer has to be 100% compatible with clone cd.

Hi Dan
thanks for your reply! Since the discs were copied correctly they will most probably work, yes? In spite of using Nero? :)
If I put them in my DVD-ROM-drive the games are recognized and the explorer is opened - so on a chipped PS2 they should work if I got you right.

M8,
Yep it seems that they have copyied okay, but untill you boot them in your PS2 your never know.
Like i said in my previous post download a trail version of CLONE CD and see how u get on with that. If your writer is 100% compatible it will make life very easy for u to make realiable backups.
Check out www.psxcopyworldco.uk for tutorials on CLONE CD
Goodluck
