Everyone seems to approve of the Messiah2, but I've never soldered anything, so soldering only 9 or so wires with the Magic 3.6 sounds a lot nicer than the 20something that go along with the Messiah2. However, I'm not so sure the Magic 3.6 functions as well as the Messiah2? Any insight is appreciated.

Messiah 2, messiah 2, messiah 2. Or Apple, for that matter.
And if your not confident with soldering, have it installed for you. I've installed 3 chips so far (1 m2pro, 2 clones). If you live in my area, I can do it. I'm sure no matter where you live, there is someone with soldering experience.
The Magic 3 series (3, 3.1, 3.5, 3.6) have seen nothing but trouble. I learned my leason.
If you have never soldered you shouldn't even be doing 9 wires. I would stay away from the Magic 3 chips. Messiah 2 is best followed by the $20 cheaper Apple chip, which I have and absolutely love.

Alright, Messiah2 it is. Thank you for all the input. I found someone who said he doesn't think he'll have a problem with the soldering. But just in case.... I'm in Kansas. Does anyone happen to know anyone around here who would do this sort of thing?
The only person I would rec. is Bill @ Freedomlives.com (http://www.freedomlives.com) .. He's located in Chicago... It doesn't cost very much to ship it to him and he does EXCELLENT work......
Tons of people have thought they can do the install themselves or have a buddy do it for them, then we hear them complaining how their ps2 isn't working. Get a pro like Bill as BG recommended. He does a great job.

Don't forget to mention how often we hear that the buddy is a pro solder too!
